Welcome to the baroque town of Fulda

Hotel_am_Dom_Zimmer

Fulda, a historical town full of tradition, is situated in the heart of Germany. Owing to its excellent infrastructure, the town lies at an intersection between hamburg in the North, Munich in the South, Cologne in the West as well as Berlin and Dresden in the East. Excellent road and rail connections and owing to its favorable closeness to Rhine-Main International Airport approaches to Fulda are short.

Fulda owes it origin to the Benedictine convent founded by Sturmius on March 12th, 744. Sturmius had acted on the instructions by Boniface, the missionary and organizer of the Frankian church. Excavations have proved the existence of an earlier settlement on the same site.
